Connor LOVES the Zoo and is always asking to go. We went early in July and I think he brought up that he wanted to go every day from sometime during the begining of May. Each day since we have gone he has asked to go back. I keep telling him we will, but we've yet to take the time to do it.
Now, the point of this post.
I think I finally know how Connor feels. I am not dying to go to the Zoo, but ever since I made a 5 minute trip into Hobby Lobby (just to buy googly eyes for a Halloween costume) I can't stop thinking about wanting to go back. Now, I know I'm a grown-up and if I REALLY wanted to go I could find the closest one and then venture over to it. Unfortunately I'm a big wuss when it comes to driving around here and if I don't know EXACTLY where I'm going I'm too nervous to try...I have a small history of wrecking cars.
Anyway, maybe I can talk Marcus in to taking me over there sometime between his getting off of work and the begining of Biggest Loser tonight. We'll see.

Good luck with that! Hobby Lobby can be an addicting place. Probably best that you don't want to venture out by yourself. You could be there for HOURS with screaming kids. =D

PS-- that's how I was when we first moved to vegas. Take your time, learn the area, then it gets easier! :)
i LOVE the zoo...more than hobby lobby...and i grew up going to the st. louis missouri zoo and it was free so imagine my surprise when one time I decide to go to the hoogle zoo in salt lake and it costs money...i've always thought zoo's were free!
i have never been in a hobby lobby but i hear they are great. good luck convincing your husband to take you. although knowing the great man you married he probably doesn't mind driving you around to crafty stores
