Marcus' Birthday

Yesterday turned out to be a great day! Although it was Labor Day Mayday was open so Marcus had to go into work. Shortly after the techs left to do their route Marcus' boss Mike took him and the secretaries out for breakfast and then sent Marcus home. I was thrilled to have him around for the day and so were the boys.

As boring as it may sound we spent the day finishing up our living room, dining room, and storage closet and we had a blast doing it. I just have to give props to Marcus for the way he fit everything in storage...amazing. I could not have done it so well.

Anyway, Marcus' parents came over in the evening and we went out to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and then back to our place for birthday cupcakes and opening presents. Marcus got a pair of new sunglasses from Bevo and Hemi, a book from my family, an external hard drive from me, a gift card and chocolate twizzlers from his parents, a little cash from grandma and grandpa Olson, and Geotrax from Connor. That's right, Marcus got his very own toy train (Connor picked it out himself...can you tell?).

After we got Connor in bed Marcus and I could barely keep our eyes open and it was only 8:30 (we usually go to sleep around 11:00 or so). We lucked out and were able to quickly get James down and then we headed off to bed as well.
