When Marcus and I moved to Texas last August we had no idea how many big changes we would end up facing over the next several months. What we thought was 1 move for 1 job has turned into 2 moves and 3 different jobs...ahhh!!! Marcus and I are people who like consistency and stability, so this many changes have not been all too exciting for us.
Anyway...here's the story:
Marcus left his original job here in Texas at Zerorez because a former employer of his at Mayday offered him a more appealing job to be an Operations Manager and run their Summer Sales team. He quickly jumped at the opportunity and was very excited about it. Well, long story short, Marcus' boss cancelled the Summer Sales program and a few weeks later decided that since he wasn't going to have sales going on there was really no need for an additional operations manager...so Marcus was demoted to a tech. His boss was very gracious to us and kept paying Marcus' salary and gave him time off to find other work...which he did!
Beginning April 27 Marcus is going to be working for Allegiance Personalized Home Care. He will be working full time (on a 4 day schedule) to build the companies client base. He will spend Friday and Saturday at Mayday still working as a tech. His decision to stay with Mayday is simply to be able to make additional money so we can purchase personal health insurance (as he currently is not offered benefits at his new job) and to be able to start stashing a little cash for his return to school this August (at which point he'll likely stop working at Mayday all together and move to a 5 day work week at Allegiance).
So...we're happy for the opportunity that lies ahead of us and I certainly wish Marcus the best of luck!
Here's to hoping there will be no more big changes coming our way anytime soon...I'm more than ready for our life to just get back to normal.
