A few days ago my dad had a birthday and I'd love to share 5 FANTASTIC things about him with you!
1: He loves people...anyone who's ever met him can tell you that.
2: He "loves his babies"...(come on siblings, can't you just hear him saying that in your mind as you read it?)
3: He "loves his wife"...(you know you can hear that one too :)
4: He loves his grandkids.
5: AND he loves taking pictures, sending e-mails, and text-messaging...he's definitely good at staying in touch!
We love you Grippy and hope you had a great birthday!

I have such good memories of your Father. He is such a wonderful and caring man!
I'd like to wish him a happy birthday,too! I always enjoy getting to see him and Virl anytime they are with the rest of the family. I hope he is doing well.

Your Dad has always been a favourite person of mine :) He has a wonderful sense of humour, and was extremely patient with me while I was interpreting for him many many years ago. He taught me sign language in the 80's and I saw him again on my mission and we have been back in contact for about 3 years :) I hope he had a wonderful day :) _\m/

Isnt it great that there is at least one person you know that will say he loves you everytime you see him? Yeah, pretty cool. (and sorry about the dryness of your life.)
Your dad just sent me a Halloween e card Anna.
I have yet to meet him but he is always friendly caring and considerate.

But why is he called Grippy?
On his birhtday a few years back my neice made him a card and she wrote "Grippy" on it instead of Grandpa. We thought it was so cute and the name has just stuck since.
