Earthquakes!

How is it that I lived 22 years of my life in Utah--a state full of fault-lines, and the first earthquakes I ever feel are here in Dallas? I've got to be honest, I didn't know earthquakes were even really possible here.

Anyway, there was a 2.something quake centered in Grand Prairie (a city close to us)last night that we barely felt and then a 3.0 quake centered here in Irving that we definitely felt...followed by two little after shocks. They were obviously too small to do any damage, but that made them fun to experience.

I've always been so scared of earthquakes... Good to hear they're fun. :)

welcome to the joys of earthquakes. just wait till you get to feel them enough that you can notice the difference between a rolling earthquake and a shaking earthquake. i think the rolling are more odd and scary. hope all is well and there are no more earthquakes for a while. love you.

OH MY GOSH!

My sister lives in Sherman, and I haven't heard from her yet!

I have never felt an earthquake and I hope I never do (knock on wood) that I would be able to distinguish between a rolling one and a shaking one!

Ayeeeee yi yi!!

I didn't even know there was a fault line up there.

Hpe ya'll weren't tooooo shaken up, Anna!

That does sound like fun! I grew up in California and experienced many little earthquakes like that and a big one too. The little ones are definitely less scary! I think it kind of gives you the adreneline rush of "is this going to be a big one?" I'm glad it was fun for you!
