My friend Alyssa tagged me a while ago to list seven songs that I love this summer. If there's one thing that I identify different stages of my life with most it is definitely the music I remember loving at the time. Isn't it funny how that happens? How you can hear an old song and be flooded with memories?
Anyway, here are the 7 songs that have shaped my summer:
1: Wheels On The Bus- Connor J. Poole
2: "C" Is For Cookie- Connor J. Poole
3: I Don't Want to Live on The Moon- Ernie and Aaron Neville
4: Sweet Potatoe Pie- Ray Charles and James Taylor
5: No One- Alicia Keys
6: Little Wonders- Rob Thomas
7: Shelter In The Rain- Stevie Wonder
Lastly, I have to admit that most times when I get into the car I turn the radio station to one of the country channels. Not because I really love country music, but because I love the way it reminds me of people I love back at home. This only works while driving though, and it only works in the summer. My memories are mostly of riding out to the farm in the evening with my Grandpa Olson to check on the cows or change the sprinklers, or just of my little brother and sister (who probably don't even like country music anymore for all I know).
