Still No Photo Shoot, but Here's an Update Anyway

The other day (Wednesday) I posted and said that Marcus and I were going to try to get a bunch of good pictures taken of James that afternoon. We got a cute little outfit set out, cleared the camera and then waited, and waited, and waited for James to wake up. Well, he never really did wake up aside from when he was having a few sluggish feedings and he ended up at the Doctor's office and Hospital for some tests by that evening.

The good news, before any of you worry, is that he is just fine. His nearly 24 hour sleep streak and limp reflexes turned out to just be a very strange event. His tests all came back clean and he has been behaving normally since. I was a nervous wreck when the Doctor's seemed as concerned as they did but was quite reassured when they saw him and felt more optimistic.

I know I've raved on my blog about our Doctor's several times before, but I can't help but rave again. By the time we called the Pediatrician's office it was after hours and we knew we would end up seeing whoever the on-call doctor was that night. Once we got there Dr. Bailey (our Pediatrician) happened to be in his office and when he saw Marcus he took a moment to talk to him. We went to our waiting room and a few minutes later he walked in to have a little look at James and talk to Marcus and I together. He had to go home but still took the time after he left to call the on-call doctor to give him a history on James and express his personal concerns and thoughts on the situation. There was absolutely no need for him to spend time talking to us twice and making a personal call on his drive home to talk to the on-call doctor, but he did and I totally appreciate that kind of extra care. I will MISS our Doctors!

Anyway, aside from that night of excitement everything has been going well for us. I am still suffering from "pression" and hope it continues to stick around for a while. Connor is back home with us and just absolutely loves his "Baby James". Marcus wins husband of the year award for his above and beyond good behavior since he's been off work and home with us. He does so much for me and the boys and I absolutely love him! I'm going to miss him in the day time when he starts his new job soon.

Here are a few pictures we've just happened to capture. Enjoy!

Wow! I feel like I'm taking it easy this time compared to when Connor was born. At times I feel a little like I should do more for you, but then I remind myself that you want to experience more of what you missed out of with Connor so I am just looking to find ways to make those experiences better for you. I love you dear.

I love these little open-mouthed pictures. Newborn babies are special in a way that nothing else is. My grandmother said to me once that "Babies are such a nice way to start people." That is very much the truth.

He is such a cute baby! I am glad that the he's doing well and you are too. I am glad that Connor is adjusting to being a big brother.

OH ANNA and Marcus (AND CONNOR)! He is sooo cute! And I can tell he just LOVES baths!

Take care and I'll be praying you find a wonderful doctor when you get to Texas!

To help put everyone's mind at ease - there are some really great doctors that I think you'll find - maybe not quite as good, but very very close - especially those at Acute Kids that when something isn't right at off times are the best place to go.

As for this blog and the pictures - these two boys are very cute and grandma in Texas needs to hold them both, very soon now.

Marcus, if Anna loves and is proud of you, well then I am too. Mom

Oh, I am not worried that we will not be able to find fantastic Doctors in Texas...I'm sure we will because I'll hunt for them until we do!

I am just going to miss the ones we have. They've been so good to us and you can never replace the history we now have with them (which centers around all the struggles that came with Connor's birth and the extra care they gave us because of it through James').
