Last night I went to the American Idol concert with my mother and sister. We had a great time together. Thanks Tommy for giving mom the tickets for her birthday!
Now, the concert was really the last big thing I had to look forward to before James' birth. Kind of a bummer. Fun activities have sure been helping me pass the time. I am starting to get worn out, though, and Marcus and I definitely have our share of things to still get done before next Friday, so it's probably good to not have many plans.
Sometime today I get to see my old roommate Kristine and her kids and then tomorrow we're meeting up with my brother Matt to finish a few errands and go out to dinner. Should be fun!
Now I just need to discipline myself to do what needs to be done here at home instead of just resting most of the day (even though my Dr. told me to spend the rest of the week relaxing...I think if he saw my apartment right now he would change his mind).

i am so so so so so jealous you got to go to american idol! i was going to go to the concert here in glendale...but no one would go with me and i wasn't about to go by myself. how was jason castro...beautiful...i have no doubt. oh man....i'm so jealous!
I actually did not expect much from Jason Castro...I liked him on the show (mostly his personality and laid back style) but did not necessarily think he was a great singer. I was wrong! He was amazing at the concert and his voice is much bigger than it sounded to me on tv.
