I have spent hours upon hours looking at, researching, and "test driving" double strollers. I just want to get one that I will love and get plenty of use out of. They're expensive little buggers and I don't want to waste my money on a mistake.
Anyway, I FINALLY found one that I REALLY REALLY like and think will work well for me and my babes. It's the Joovy Caboose Sit'n Stand Tandem stroller. Connor can either sit or stand in the back of it and the infant carrier will snap into the front seat or Connor can ride in the front seat and the infant carrier will snap on top in the back. I had a coupon for Babies R Us that I have been waiting to use on it and I went out last night to get it. Well, when I got to the store they told me they were not carrying it anymore! What?! They just had it there the last time I was in the store!
I rushed home and got on Wal*Mart.com because I knew they had it, I look at it all the time. The only reason I haven't bought it from them yet was that I didn't want to wait for it to ship. But guess what? When I got online last night the stroller was SOLD OUT!!! Why?!
I have been able to find it on other websites but it is priced nearly $50.00 more than Wal*Mart and what it would have been with my coupon to Babies R Us. Also, many of the sites have $30.00 shipping costs. RIDICULOUS!!!
In desperation I resorted to looking at Craig's List and e-bay. I was happy to see a brand new one being sold on e-bay, and I am the current high bidder. I have a feeling, however, that I'm not going to win it. Oh so frustrating. I am probably just going to have to decide to pay a little more because I really want this stroller and I really want it before I move. I had purchased the Baby Trend Snap 'n Go stroller base to use but once I discovered the Joovy Caboose I returned it. So, at this point I have no stroller at all that James can go in. Good gracious.
The good news is that I ended up sending Marcus back to Babies R Us last night because I didn't want my coupon to go to waste. He was able to use it to buy the swing we wanted (and were not planning on buying until we arrived in Texas, but my coupon would have expired by then). He got it for $30.00 less than it was priced and I am so happy about that.
I'm sure nobody cares, but I thought I'd vent about my stroller woes anyway. Wish me luck...I really think I'll need it.

Anna, I'm unfortunately not working right now, and have plenty of time on my hands! Plus, I'm great at researching on the internet, so I'll see if I can find it for you, and keep an eye on Wal-Mart.
My name is Kathy, and I have enjoyed reading your blog. I live in West Texas, so get ready for the heat when you move to the Dallas area! Good luck with the new baby, and I am keeping you in my prayers.
Anna, I just checked W/M, and it's available in this area in West Texas. What you might do, is when you go to the W/M website, change the zip code to the store in the area you are going to move to in the Dallas area (or wherever), and then search for your stroller. The stroller I found is 269.98. Is that right? Maybe you'll have better luck doing it that way.
Kathy
Kathy,
You're a sweetheart for checking that stroller out for me! I was able to buy one today at a great price and will post about it tomorrow!
Thanks for your kindness!
