This morning I had my last prenatal visit with Dr. Gourley. The visit was great but a bit bizarre. I was running a few minutes late this morning so Marcus and Connor just dropped me off at the entrance while they went and parked the car. I figured I would run up and get signed in quickly and then they would meet me in the waiting room. The office schedules 3 people every 15 minutes and my appointment was at 8:45, so I expected a 15 minute wait or so.
When I walked into the physicians plaza it was completely empty. It caught me off guard but I had no reason to think the offices were all closed (and they weren't) so I headed to the elevator. When I got to the floor Dr. Gourley is on it was completely dead as well. I walked into his office and there was no one in the waiting room and no one at the front desk. At this point I thought there must have been an evacuation or something so I turned to walk out. Just as I was leaving one of the front desk ladies came out and greeted me so I signed in and they took me right back.
Dr. Gourley was there in the hallway (and you usually don't see him until he comes into your exam room) but he talked to me for a minute and helped do all the checks that the nurse usually does. Marcus and Connor finally made it up and I had my little appointment.
There is no point to all the details of the morning, I just wanted to write it down because it was so bizarre. The Physicians Plaza is usually nice and busy and Dr. Gourley's office seems to NEVER rest. He's hard to get into and is completely booked every day. Apparently he was today too I just happened to walk in at a weird, dead, time. It was very nice though to just speed in and speed out for my last appointment.
SO...everything is progressing well. My total pregnancy weight gain is 15lbs (which is good for me since I started this pregnancy overweight), my blood pressure was 109/63, and the baby sounded good and strong. My abdomen measured 36cm (1cm bigger than when Connor was born). I am dying to see the weight of this little guy! I feel like he could easily be a 6-7 pounder (which would be huge for me compared to my last 4 pound baby), but won't be surprised if he's 5. We'll see THIS FRIDAY!!!

Anna, you are in my prayers this week for a safe and fast delivery. I know you will do great, and that you will have a little angel in your arms very soon. I look forward to hearing about the birth as soon as you can post the info! Good luck, and God bless you all!
Kathy
You're in my prayers, too. And my blog - I tagged you. Come take a look.
Easy in and easy out.. good comparison to how this new little one is going to come in to the world!! Rooting you on for a smooth sailing delivery! As smooth as was your last visit!
That sounds so odd! If it had been me I would've waited for Jared to come to the door and make him go in and see if they were open. I'm weird though! :) Only a couple more days til he's here! Yay!
Good Luck for Friday Anna,
Good luck on Friday Anna.
