Free Gas

Last night Marcus, Connor, and I made our last weekly shopping trip to Wal*Mart before James comes. We planned out a list of meals that would be super-easy to have once we're home from the hospital and went out and bought all the stuff for them. We ended up doing three whole weeks of grocery shopping last night. Of course Marcus will need to go back each week for fresh stuff, but that's all.

Anyway, I am a coupon clipper and last night we had some great coupons and got some great deals. In fact, we saved so much money in coupons that when we filled our car up with gas afterwards the total equalled a little less than the amount we saved on our grocery bill. It was like we got a free tank of gas.

I bet you're probably thinking that we must have had a HUGE grocery bill in order to save that much, but suprisingly enough the total was less than half of what I thought it would be and just a little more than what we spend on a weekly basis. The coupons just really made that big of a difference.
