Right now, as I type, I am experiencing a miracle!
O.K. So maybe I am using the word "miracle" a little loosely, but it sure feels like one. Connor has been a generally well behaved little boy today, but he has still be a handful. I made him lunch, which he decided he did not want to eat, and then he started screaming at me. I told him if he screamed he would have to go to time out and if he didn't eat his lunch then he would have to go down early for his nap. Well, a half hour ago he put himself in his room for time out and I haven't heard a peep from him since. Is it possible he put himself down for a nap as well? Whether he did or not, a half hour of pure silence is definitely a miracle around here!

I'm conflicted about your post: that silence is often mischievous in my experience. Sometimes it is mischievous and then miraculous but beware all the same. I hope it is just a miracle.
That's cute! I used to "send myself to my room" when I was younger. I could tell that my parents were close to sending me to my room so I just went on my own. I knew I needed a cool down and if I went on my own then I could decide when to come out!
