I Love This Book

Marcus and I were talking about "The Family; A Proclamation To The World" by The First Presidency and Council of The Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this afternoon. We were discussing the family roles that are clearly defined in the proclamation and how we have experienced so much happiness as we have chosen to do what we could to meet our individual roles.

As we were talking I pulled out the first Christmas gift I ever gave to Marcus; a book called "Strengthening Our Families, An In-depth Look at the Proclamation on the Family". I took a class at BYU-Idaho based solely on this book and I had not really realized how much the things I learned in that class affected my life and my marriage until now.

Basically I wanted to write this post because I want all my readers to know what a fantastic read this book is! No matter what stage of life you are in or what role you play in your family there is so much great stuff in there. I like things that are bold and this definitely is.

P.S. If you're wondering what on earth I'm talking about you can check out "The Family; A Proclamation to the World" by visiting this web address: http://www.lds.org/library/display/0,4945,161-1-11-1,00.html
